Black Hills Historical Sites ProjectClick on images for enlarged view

ARTIST STATEMENT

These images created during the summers 1995-96 are the result of my relationships in the Black Hills of South Dakota and a commission to document the process of decaying and disappearing historical sites around the Black Hills. My goal and approach was to make beautiful and engaging images as well as a straightforward record of time and place. The images were used to decorate rooms in Deadwood’s historically famous Bullock Hotel.
