NAMC 2 is the second Native American Magic Carpet collage I have recently created. The first one sold to a knowledgeable collector which spurred me on to make a second similar work with the materials I had collected over a period of time. The first one had two very small Native American “whirling logs” symbols (more commonly known as “Swastikas”) embedded in the composition which it is believed to be the reason the piece was rejected in tier two judging for the annual Fine Arts Exhibition at the Del Mar Fair (2026) after it was delivered for exhibition. So NAMC 2 hasn’t a single Swastika symbol, but there are plenty of crosses. Let’s see if #2 will be accepted in 2027!
