Jack Ford
In 1982 I was assigned by San Diego Magazine to photograph 11 bachelors for a feature titled “Unmarried Men”. One of the subjects was Jack Ford, son of President Gerald Ford. He was very handsome and gregarious with killer blue eyes. I was pleased with the results of the shoot and his photograph ran on the cover of the magazine. Not everyone was pleased with the result. A “distracted consumer” sent a letter to me via the editors expressing their opinion about the photography and the editors forwarded me the letter. I was quite surprised by the opinion and also pleasantly surprised by the personal note written by a staff member accompanying the letter.
